Shay Gourmet is a large enough gourmet
shop selling many
kinds of gourmet
foods. Noteworthy is the nice selection of
pastries, with
goods from
several providers (including croissants and
other baked
goods from Rahier
Patisserie), and the
Claude
Postel
chocolate counter. Claude Postel is a
chocolatier from
Montr�al, and
Shay Gourmet is (to our knowledge) the
only place in
Toronto to find
his products. Also available are organic
produce, and
various prepared
foods.

The closing of this store has created a vaccuum in the Yonge-Davisville area re: good places to get great food. The organic meat counter was a wonderful place for organically grown chickens and antibiotic-free beef. If this store re-opens somewhere in TOronto I hope the details get posted!
