One of the best gelato stores in the city, Il Gelatiere Artigianale offers nearly 30 flavours of delicious Italian ice-cream. Fruit flavours include banana, watermelon, raspberry, strawberry, and sometimes plum. There is also one flavour for just about every kind of nut - almond, pistachio, hazelnut, walnut, macadamia... The portions are generous, the prices reasonable, and the quality very high.

We returned from Rome in October 2007 and tasted their wonderful gelati. When we heard about this store, we went to it for a try, hoping that it is as good as those in Rome. Unfortunately, we were very disappointed! Compared to Hollywood Ice Cream on Bayview Avenue, their ice creams are more expensive and we like those from Hollywood better.

Hands down, the best gelato in town. Their chocolate is sumptuous. My boyfriend's been to Rome, and he was impressed.
