King's café is clearly not your garden-variety café. Lattes, cappucinos and jasmine tea aside, this joint is actually a full-blown vegetarian restaurant, where many kinds of mock meats (and vegetables) abound.

Mock duck, mock goose, mock pork, mock beef, mock mutton... this soy-based menagerie gently cohabits on the imaginative menu with a fabulous mock eel on a bed of seeweed and, of course, glorious vegetarian sushi rolls made with brown rice. Don't miss the interesting appetizers: steamed or pan-fried dumplings, whole-wheat buns or mock-chicken legs are all delicious.

Combos are very affordable, the setting is bright and airy, and the service is wonderful.
Desserts are satisfying too: crème caramel, almond butter cookies and other treats are both cheap and delicious. King's café is the perfect destination for the hip granola crowd, urban vegetarians, and the veggie-curious alike.
