Aunties and Uncles is one of our favourite Sunday-brunch stops in Toronto. The food is fresh, wholesome and completely home-made. Eggs are served in all the traditional ways, or inside a foccacia-bread breakfast pocket, along mozarella cheese, herbs and tomatoes. Sides include the delicious dill-mustard potato salad.

The highlight of the menu remains the Belgian waffles: made with yeasted dough (read: tasty!), and served warm with maple syrup and delicious poached pears, they are perfect. We have yet to taste better Belgian waffles in Toronto. Go early, they are served while they last...

I live in the area as well and this place in known for being filthy. Yes the food is cheap and cheerful but you get what you pay for. No thanks
