Zane Patisserie Boulangerie

Zane makes a nice selection of French pastries
(try for example the Merveilleux, an interesting
mix of textures, with dry macaron bits embedded in
praline and chocolate creams), fruit tarts (the
raspberry is beautiful and delicious), and morning
pastries (the custard square, made of a very light
and airy brioche with vanilla custard in the
middle). Eclairs and French-style cookies (like
the thin tuiles) are quite good as well.
The baguettes may look a little
un-traditional, but are good nevertheless.

This man works all night to prepare the superb croissants and quiches. There's nothing better than cycling there on sunday morning picking up a fresh batch and then sharing them at home.
He's a big football fan too and watches the games in the back!

it's Zane, not Jane. some people think it is because of the sign but I've met him and his name is Zane. the pastries are good, the baguettes not so much. I think he should make croque monsieurs/croque madames or have a bigger menu. other than that it's pretty good. and everyone should try it at least once.
