Altitude Baking is a very small store packed with goodies; good looking croissants -- the chocolate ones are decorated with white chocolate shavings-- various kinds of pies (berries, strawberry-rhubarb...), tarts or cheesecakes. The passion fruit meringue pie, a welcome variation on the lemon meringue, is quite nice, although the shortbread crust is a little thick. Nice mango mousse tarts as well, with little pieces of mango in the mousse. The apple strudel is good. Altitude Bakery also carries the Ace Bakery line, as well as some ice cream from Greg's Ice Cream.

Their infamous 'french kiss' cookies (large and mini) are always soft, chewy and get rave reviews from friends and coworkers. The linzer bars and almondines are among my favorites, and i can always expect different flavours of muffins and tarts that you wouldnt find anywhere else!

I happened to be in the area and chanced upon this bakery in the east end. I had a cinnamon roll (swooooon) and purchased a homemade meatpie. I think I'm hooked!
