At the east end of the Greek village, Athena Bakery offers a wide variety of Greek and Middle-Eastern pastries, as well as more North-American style cakes sold whole or by the slice. The Greek galaktoboureko, a kind of sandwich made of a thick slice of custard between thin layers of philo pastry, tastes particularly good, as do the Middle-Eastern bakhlavas.
