Mela Italian Vegetarian Cafe makes a variety of first-rate Italian-style vegetarian sandwiches (called panini, served on foccacia bread), Italian dishes, and soups. Everything is made fresh, from scratch, every day, using organic ingredients. The pasta and meatball ragout is delicious (and made with soy-meat), we only regretted the pasta is not whole wheat.
For dessert, Mela has Wanda's pies (it is located where Wanda's store used to be). Altogether a very nice spot for a healthy and fresh vegetarian lunch.
